Do you know how much the price of RAW copper has shot up? It's almost as precious as gold.
The reason you see cages on window air conditioners is not because people are stealing the AC units to actually use them as AC's...it's to scavenge the copper tubing out of it for resale. This was the case of the library in my town and at town hall where there is no central air since it's an old building.

It's mind boggling the lengths people will go to for cash.,

i mean there isnt a lot of it in there, but yea people will go to great lengths and dangerous to get a little cash

How much can you get the Kicker for? I thought the going price was around $175 plus shipping for a 50ft spool?

I bought a couple feet of the Knu wire and it is very nice. I would say it is the exact same as the Kicker Hyperflex other than the Knu wire having more strands and the outer jacket being very slightly smaller over all. Another thing I noticed that is really not that important is the Kicker wire seems to be centered in the jacket (the thickness of the jacket seems to be the same all the way around) and the Knu wire did not seem to be (one side of the outer jacket was thicker than the other).

the only problem is of course that if you need long *** runs of it, then your probably better off with the spool since your not limited by length, you can just pull it out till you have the size and your done.

but for just installing in 1 car, youll only need that one kit.

btw: i too have no idea why the spools arent cheaper. i mean the kit is retailed for like $199 and you can get it online for $59 plus ship

The kits are packaged in China by an OEM supplier that produces the wire. Kicker probably never touches those kits. All this stuff is made in the Orient.

I have a question on those kicker amp kits. I was thinking about buying one but everyone says that you should fuse the distro block when going down in wire size. Those blocks dont look fused to me. Why would kicker supply those blocks if this is tru?

i have all collosus now. about 100 feet of it in my car. this winter i am gonna pull it out and sell all of it and put down 200 feet of that knuflex. or maybe by ten knu will have 00 gauge

Yes...yes it was.

SO you think kicker hyper flex is best. I'll look into it.

I have only used the Knukoncept wire, but I hear good things about the kicker wire. I don't think you can go wrong with either....keep in mind some of knu's lower end stuff isn't all that great...don't quote me, but I think its either aluminum or tin. Heard that somewhere on here, may want to do a search on knukoncept.

So what does ofc stand for?
