Components in a Contour?

Just bought a Contour to replace the old blown turbo coupe.

If you're reading this you probably know Contour's have 6x8's in all 4 doors.

My components (kept from the TC) are 6.5's.

Anybody put 6.5's in these cars? Does it take much modification? What about the tweeters? I don't see a convenient place to mount those.

you'll have to make baffles.. and they'll fit great.. I run PG 6.5s in my front doors with just baffles. albeit it doesnt sound the best (contours have the worst speaker locations) I plan on going with a kickpanel setup soon O mounted the tweets in the door to, i tried mounting them to the defroster vent cover (on the door) but they didn't sound good (to me)

I guess I'll just have to get the door panel off and have a look.

On the tweeters - I've been considering some fiberglass pods on the A pillar trim.

It would take some time - but done right I think it would be a great location.

that'd prolly be the best location. I don't beleive I've ever seen anyone do them there, even molded into the defroster vent at an angle would be better than in the doors
