Knu Koncepts RCA turn on lead

well, i hooked up the wire to the blue w/ white strip like the manual says. i hooked it up on the other end, to the amp. i still cant get any power to the amp. i checked, and rechecked all connections. everything looks solid. the ground looks solid. i even grinded the paint away on the frame to where i grounded it to.

i dunno what the problem is. its about 20 degrees out and windy as all hell so i give up for the day. the only thing i noticed, which i dont know helps figure out where a problem might be, or if its just a coincidence, is i have a shitload more static electricity in the truck.

blah

and also, do not use any screw on wire nuts on anything in a car breh, thats for stationary wiring, like in a house. and mainly solid wiring not stranded. so that may be your problem. get a butt connector or something. radioshack has them for like 16 to a pack for like 1.69

yeah, i have the fuse near the battery. about 10" of wire between the battery and the fuse. i have another fuse on the amp too. both are fine. i didnt wire nut the remote turn on lead, i didnt even cut it, i just shaved a section of plastic off of the wire of the blue w/ white wire, and connected the amp to HU wire to that.

im going to have to get a multimeter and check the power. maybe there is a problem to where i have it connected to the battery, i dunno. im getting absolutely no power to the amp, not even a slight hope of electricity.

yeah, my headunit will come on, but the amp doesnt. i have it wired to the remote turn on lead wire, as shown in the wiring diagram. im 100% sure that its the right wire. so, this just leaves me to believe its from the battery. i just borrowed a multimeter tonight, so ill check it out tomorrow.

worse comes to worse, im going to pull the headunit out, and solder the connection, just to be sure its tight. not trying to sound like a n00b, but i dont do wiring all to often, but im not totally retarded. just a little. it might not work at all, but it sure looks nice in there, lol!!

i do appreciate all the help you guys are trying to give me.

the problem ended up being the remote turn on lead. the connection to the headunit was loose. tightened it up, and the system blasts awesome. thanks for all the help guys.
