knu CCA wire

Im trying to crimp some 1/0ring terminals to my Knu CCA wire and it seems like either the wire is way oversized, or the ring terminal is too small.

anybody else have this problem?

should be noted that the ring terminals are from tsunami

Knu sells oversized wire... a lot of companies do. The 1/0 cadence CCA I have is equivalent to the 2/0 welding cable I used for my big 3. Twist the wire really tight and angle it when you put it in the ring terminal so only half of it goes in at once. Then, pinch the other half and fiddle its way into the ring terminal. It can be kind of a pain but it should go in eventually. If it doesn't, take some needlenose pliers, put them inside the ring terminal, and try to open the pliers up so you pull the terminal open more.

I had the same problem, its cuz its oversized. Gotta trim it down a bit.

I bought cadence 1/0 and I had no issue putting on my terminals, might be tsunami making smaller openings or something.

I'll have to try that. do KNU ring terminals readily accept KNU wire? I need some more ring terminals anyways, and to avoid the hassle I'd just order from them.

Twist the wire tightly then as you put the terminal on, twist it in the same direction, it will kind of thread on...usually works for me

That's what I do. Most I get left out is three or 4 strands.
