I have one on my explorer, its good. The only complaint i have is the idel amps are a little lower than my stock. So when i have my lights on at night and the explorer is at idel the headlights dim a little bit then when i hit the gas they get brighter again. Its not a big deal though

I dont think it would even be possible to put a shorter belt on my explorer. The tensioner sits in one position and the belt on it is about as tight as a belt can possibly be.

Smaller alt pulley=more rpm, not shorter belt. Shorter belt=will not fit. Think about it.

so you could raise your idel up a bit i'm sure it wouldn't take much of a rise to fix that problem
