King James

queen james's legacy if he wins championships will be he had to form an all star team to do it. he will never be on the same level as kobe jordan bird or magic ever.
Were other teams with 3 great stars hurt as well? How about three hall of famers, like Magic's Lakers, Bird's Celtics, Russell's Celtics, etc.? Kobe and Shaq's 3-peat was done with arguably the best guard and best center in the game...does that tarnish those rings?

Firstly, I WOULDNT call Chris Bosh a star buy any means. He averaged 20 & 10 on a srubby Raptor team where he should have had 30 & 15, just sayin, they had 10 bums and Heido who quit half way thru the season.

Bulls, drafted Pippen & Grant, got Rodman in a trade when the Spurs told him to FUK off.

As for Birds Celtics, Bird drafted, McHale and Parrish was stolen in a trade from Golden State #1 pick for #3 (McHale) and Parrish.

LA, Jabbar traded for (before Magic was even thought about), Magic drafted, Worthy drafted. Shaq left for LA BEFORE Kobe played 1 NBA game (luck b/c NO ONE knew the high school kid would turn into KOBE)

My point is NONE of those players left there team to ride the coat tails of another superstar.

Im not mad @ Bron for doing what he did, I just dont care for how he did it. He didnt owe Cleveland JACK but he could have told them AND before anyone says they can trade or cut you they CANT this aint he NFL. In the NBA you can only trade a player if another team WANTS them and have what YOU deem value in return.

Yea the Heat may have a stupid regular season 60-65 wins, lets see how they hold up verse Garrnett, J O'neil, Perkins, Big Baby, D Howard, Gasol and Bymun on the block you bout to find out just how good Bosh really is!

Not to pull the race card or anything, but how come black people need to give themselves rediculous titles like "master", "doctor", "king", etc?

Seriously WTF? I thought this thread was going to be about the bible.

I think this was a great decision for Lebron. On a related note:

Akron woman finds out LeBron pendant worth thousands - Yahoo! News

When Vaneisha Robinson bought a diamond studded pendant in the shape of LeBron James' number 23 jersey at a yard sale four years ago, she thought it was costume jewelry. "I used to go to high school with it around my neck, not knowing the value of it," Robinson said. Robinson got curious about the pendant's value a few months ago when she noticed the diamonds were set in the same way real ones are. She took it to a local jewelry store for a once-over. "They tested the diamonds and they told me that it was real and that I should invest in getting it certified," Robinson said. Robinson, 20, who is an amateur boxer, saved $200 to pay for a certified appraisal by the International Gemological Institute. The pendant she paid $5 for four years ago is worth nearly $10,000. She's put the jewelry up for sale on eBay. Despite the backlash caused by James' decision to leave the Cleveland Cavaliers and play for the Miami heat, Robinson believes the pendant will sell for top dollar. "LeBron James (sic) brand will never die out," she said.

IMO, LeBron can do whatever he wants. Especially when he is free agent, NBA and any other sports are all business nowdays.

BTW, Gilbert got to grow some balls and grow the f- up. I couldnt believe what he said-- I mean he is the one who enabled LeBron to have whatever he wanted.

And if Gilbert really disliked LeBron, then why the hell is he pissed off that he is leaving Cleveland? He should have been rolling the red carpet for LeBron to leave Cleveland if he really hated James.

Bottom line, Gilbert and whole city of Cleveland need to chill out- LeBron is just a f-ing basketball player. Like I said it is all down to business.

Lastly, I dont blame LeBron for taking the job at Miami. I mean seriously EVERY ONE of you, including myself, would take the job if you saw 2 other stars coming to Miami to play together and hell I would take lower salary to have some fun when I got money from everywhere else(Nike, etc.)

Lebron owes Cleveland nothing. He signed an extension there and they still couldn't get a "star" second player to play with him in the 7 years he was there. Hell, he should have bounced 3 years ago when he had the chance.
lol. Cleveland shouldn't have needed to get another "star" player. A great team is a team that can work together and do it well.

This year the lakers didn't really have a 2nd "STAR" player. fischer was decent gasol was decent but not "STAR" standards. If lebron knew how to play as a team then it would be fine.. thats why he ran to a team that he thinks will do well.. guess what.. It won't. A whole bunch of non-team players is not going to work well. if fischer would have went there like it was talked about then it would have been a threat as LA would have lost a good player. If they can get shaq back then maybe. but the depth of the team the ability of the team. its not there..

basically Lebron is not good enough to do it so he wants to ride another team to try to do it.. Hell I am suprised he didn't crawl to LA and beg for a tiny salary to play there.

side note. Shaq should go back to LA and be a bench player. They would be nasty this year if they picked him back up

Gotta have 2-3 all-star quality guys in order to get it done, it's always been that way.

Fisher brings more than his stats show, but Pao averages 18.3pts and 11.3boards per game this season, along with 1.7blks per game. He bumped that up a little in the playoffs to 19.6pts, 11.1boards, and 2.1blks per game. He's also a good passing big man and averaged 3.5 assists per game. He may not be a big star, but those are some of the best stats for a "2nd man" on any team.

Lebron not a team player? I guess averaging 7 assists per game for his career isn't enough(not to mention 8.6 last season), considering he has to score 25-30 a game for them to even have a chance. Only 4 players in NBA history have had 27+pts 7+assists and 7+ boards for a season. I believe Jordan did it once, Bird 3 times, and Big O a time or two...Lebron's done it 4 out of his first 7 seasons(and was only .4 assists per game shy another year).

basically Lebron is not good enough to do it so he wants to ride another team to try to do it.
Lebron had zero talent on his team, and it wasn't changing any time soon. If Jordan hadn't gotten Pippen, shooters, and solid big men, he never would have won a thing either and would have left Chicago for greener pastures.

These guys just care about winning, especially Lebron, because they know their reputation relies on it. No one ragged on KG for going to Boston after not being able to win squat in Minnesota.
