Kinetik as main battery

I want to upgrade my main battery to a kinetik because I'm trying to do a low profile install (don't want extra batts in the trunk) and a big kinetik under the hood should be enough to do the trick for the wattage I'm going to be using.

I'm doing the install in a 2008 Lancer (not the Evo). What's the biggest Kinetik you think I could fit under the hood? Anyone get a good sized one under the hood of a car that size?

go out to your car. measure it up and then go to kinetik's website and see which one would fit. then go to ebay and buy yourself that battery. problem solved.

Kinetik under hood and a batcap 2k in the trunk and batcaps are small so don't worry about it I'm sure u can hide it somwhere

Only about 1500 rms

takes a group 35 sized battery according to autozone. 1400 is taller than a group 35 so that may be an issue

According to the battery sizing chart I'm looking at, an HC1400 is smaller than a Group 35 in all 3 dimensions and an HC1800 is only longer by an inch.

if an 1800 will fit that would be what I would use.

Hrm, I'm thinking a Powermaster D5100R would fit under my hood better... any opinions on those batteries?

hey just looking at what u guys have written and i am wondering, i am in the same kind of position but more space. i am just wondering but are you replacing the battery you have now with a kinetik one or are you simply adding the kinetik's and just keeping it under the hood????

If you are adding a second battery it is a better idea to keep it as close to the amplifiers as possible.

They are made in Asia like the Stinger spv line and Powermaster as it would seem.

You can pretty much go right down the line with many batteries and say that. I can also say there have been companies that used the exact wording from kinetiks site saying they had cars doing 180db and blah blah blah word for word from kinetik's website LOL here I'll find a link
