Kinetic HC2400 < SHURiKEN SK-BT100

That's pretty sweet for only $205 shipped.
Do you have any other specs on it other then the listed 110Ah?

What should I be looking for in specs of a battery. CA isn't that important since it's in the trunk right?
It would be a good daily battery, but would probably be a poor choice for burping. The shop around the corner from be sells those UB batteries and they have told me that the Deka is better for audio.

The Kinetiks don't burp too well either, which is why you see them in a lot of bass race cars //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif

I didn't pay much attention to the classes. I had the opportunity to go to SBN for free, but wasn't able to because of I had to take a test the day before SBN for one of my classes. However, 4 of my teammates went.

I'm basing what I said off of the street cars that I saw at dB Drag World Finals in Indy last year. There were very few Kinetiks, I mostly remember seeing Powermaster and Northstar.

Just what I figured, mostly Bassracers ran the Kinetiks for dB Drag.

LOL so world records over 181db is poor burps //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/rolleyes.gif.c1fef805e9d1464d377451cd5bc18bfb.gif//content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/laugh.gif.48439b2acf2cfca21620f01e7f77d1e4.gif

The street classes are the classes that really prove how tough a battery is. Look at street A for instance. Those guys are running thousands of watts off a single, small battery. This proves how much tougher a battery is for burping than anything else. For some reason Kinetiks are not very popular in street A:confused://content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/confused.gif.e820e0216602db4765798ac39d28caa9.gif:confused://content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/confused.gif.e820e0216602db4765798ac39d28caa9.gif As for Craig Butler, do you not think that he can't do that same score with different batteries? I'm guessing that you don't have much experience in SPL, because if you did, you would know that with a large enough battery bank it doesn't matter near as much if one battery is better than another. Craig Butler will do a 181+ with any decent battery bank in that van, the Kinetiks aren't helping him.

actually the top guys in street A B C @ DB drag finals used Stinger/Odyssey/NSB some Europeans used Odyssey and other brands
Yeah, I remember seeing Stinger and Odyssey too. You pretty much reinforced my point that Kinetik is not popular in the street classes.

Lakota, like I said before, I am not a competitor at all. I am just a hobbyist. That said, I did not see Batcap in the list of street classes either //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/fyi.gif.9f1f679348da7204ce960cfc74bca8e0.gif

Competitors in the Street A class are limited to a single 650 cubic inch (10652 cubic cm) or smaller battery. Competitors in the Street B class are limited to a single 800 cubic inch (13110 cubic cm) or smaller battery. Competitors in the Street C class are limited to a maximum of two each 800 cubic inch (13110 cubic cm) or smaller batteries.

Additional Guidelines:

* Only "standard", 12-volt, 6-cell (connected in series), lead/acid or gel-type batteries are permitted in the Street Division.

* Aftermarket batteries are acceptable provided no other applicable rules are violated.

* Hybrid (ie 12/16 volt) and/or custom-made batteries are prohibited.

* The physical size of each battery is calculated from the physical dimensions of the battery. (Height x Length x Width excluding the battery terminals) The physical shape of the battery is irrelevant.

* The primary battery must be located in the same general area as the OEM battery location. (For example, if the OEM battery location is under the hood, the primary battery must be located under the hood as well. Aftermarket battery trays and/or custom fabricated battery brackets may be installed provided no other applicable rules are violated.)

* The secondary battery (if installed) may be mounted behind the B-Pillars or under the hood provided no other applicable rules are violated.

* Batteries may not be mounted underneath the vehicle. (Underbody battery boxes, racks, etc. are prohibited.)

* Batteries may not be swapped out during the course of an event.

* Batteries that are designed in such a manner as to circumvent the above rules may be deemed illegal by the dBDRA.
