Ok...here's the deal...I am ordering all of the electrical aspects of my system tomorrow morning...all in one shot....so far on the list I have....

Stinger 1/0 Guage Amp Kit

12 Feet of Stinger 1/0 Guage wire for the Big 3

Stinger 16 Guage AWG Twisted Speaker Wire

OK....now I was looking into a Kinetik 2400 Power Cell...however I can not find one for the life of me...I did some searching around this part of the forum and due to different set ups some people were sayin' in certain ones that a second battery would be a burden in the long run instead of helping....here's my situation...

I am running 2 Kicker Solo Baric L7 12's off of a Powerbass XA3000D....I have a stock 135 Amp Alternator and a stock battery...I am running the Big 3 in the Stinger 0 Guage Wire....so what my question is...what would be my next step...

a second battery in the back?

A new alternator with the stock battery and no battery in the back?

replacing the starting battery AND getting a battery in the back?

I found an Iraggi Alternator for my car for $230....but I was thinking since my stock is SOMEWHAT strong I could go for a battery in the back and replacing the starting battery and getting an alternator a month or so down the road...but if I decide to go that route...which batteries would you recommend for my starting and trunk?...lmao...I am so lost...any and all advice before I leave for work at 930 tonight would be GREATLY appreciated....

I have done some calculations and I am getting the alternator as well...**** it...I don't want the source of my power to be a *****.....so....new situation...lol...

Stinger 1/0 Guage Amp Kit

12 Feet of Stinger 1/0 Guage wire for the Big 3

Stinger 16 Guage AWG Twisted Speaker Wire

200 Amp Iraggi Alternator...

last and final step of the electrical system....would be a battery in the back in my opinion or would a starting battery be better....since I got a HO alternator would an Optima Yellowtop D34/78 or a Stinger SPV44 Dry Cell be enough?

or should I go with a Stinger SP1000 just to be safe?

I would go for a new starting battery.
And then see how muchg voltage drop you will have. wiht big3, good alt, good battery you shoudl be fine
whats the point of getting a new starting battery if he puts another yellowtop or whatever in back? i dont much about this so your probably right but can you explain that to me?

well he is using a stock abttery in the front. That woudl be the weak spot.

Even wiht ayellow top int he back once the stock battery starts to discharge it iwll then bring down the ywllow top which inturn needs more amps to bring both up (more load ont he system)

With a HO alt,big 3 and a good starting battery I think the system will be fine. Maybe a batcap 400?

PFFT bluetops FTW //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif

Also folks read his post he is ordering a new alternator already.

yessir....thanks for the advice my good man...one more dumb question and then I am done lol...when you say maybe a Batt cap 400...is that your suggestion of a starting battery or a battery I should get in the back after I already replace my starting battery....ok I lied...ONE more question...since I am obviously new here....what is a PFFT?

pfft is like... a ummm sound you make? when someone says something crazy and yer lik e"pffsssttttt whatever"

batcap 400 is like a cap but like a battery I guess. search on google for them. Any review i read they seem tow ork pretty good too.

ATHat woudl be after you buya new starting battery.

I would look into a redtop for starting.. and if you are deadset on putting a battery in the abck look for a bluetop (same a s ayellow top only for marine and cheaper, also has extra terminals on them that are handy)

Every Blue Top I've seen has been more expensive, but anyway...

You can add just a battery in the back and an isolator to keep from messing up your starting battery under the hood. If it turns out that you need another battery for whatever reason, just add it next to the one already in the trunk and leave the starting battery alone.

ok My alternator should be here Tuesday or Weds....and so will my 0 Guage Stinger Power Wire for the Big 3....

I was thinking about going with an Optima Redtop as a starting battery and getting one of those Batt caps in the back....that shouls seal the deal for my electrical nicely I would imagine....or am I wrong?
