Birthsheets are an indication of what the amp CAN putout given the right circumstances, but you'll never reach those circumstances in an automobile. If you want to argue with me, at least bring some testing and facts to the table.

It's not even so much voltage, as soon as you hook a speaker up to an amp, especially one in an enclosure, all bets are off. You can keep a stable 12.8v, 14.4 is kind of hard, but 12.8 can be achieved easily.

Sure, but when steady low bass comes in, you're gonna feel drops, regardless.. maybe not huge, but .1v makes a difference in power, none tha less.. plus, factoring in impedance rise..

also factor in how often you play your music @ or near full volume, and how much of that music is 0dB.

and heat both in the amps and subs makes a difference, there's a million variables that aren't factors on a testbench.

well today i got my refurbished kicker kx1200.1 and the birthsheet says it puts out 1317 watts. that kinda disapoints me because every other kx1200 birthsheet i've seen did at LEAST 1400... but it' still 117 watts underated.
