Kimbo Slice fight tonight

A GREAT BOXER in their prime vs one of these guys?
I have seen a bunch of exboxers enter in to MMA but pretty much all of them failed at boxing and saw this as a way to make a buck. The results are mixed.

My question is who would win if a great boxer in their prime met a natual MMA guy? I don't think that has happend yet.

One arguement is that if the boxer was taken to the groud it would be all over. Another arguement is a boxer would never let that happen and they are so fast and punch so hard with extreme acuracy they would clearly win.

Think about when Mike Tyson "Jabbed" Mitch Blood Green while in NY with his bare hands. A trained boxer flew through a department store window, lights out.

Just wondering
when my friend was 19 (i know its not exactly saying mma vs boxer ) he was a pretty good fighter. not like a trained fighter or anything but a **** tough guy you wouldnt want to fight in a bar. well he started dating this girl that had an ex boyfriend that was a junior olympic boxer. dude came over one day talkin shit and my friend never backs down from a fight. well my friend threw the first punch and this guys nose exploded........then in about 1 second this guy threw 3 punches that you could barely even see, and my friend was knocked out cold....craziest thing ive ever seen.

figured id tell the story to support the boxer, accuracy argument from above. it was nuts.

I just watched that conference video. I have sooooooooooooooo much respect for Rogers for saying that.

It was not only brave, but classy of him to say that when he was 1 foot away from Kimbo and his posse. Stupid *** gorillas won't even fight fair, they gotta gang up on Rogers even though he said it right to his face. He's not a ***** that goes and does an interview to talk chit about Kimbo, he says it right there. That was so awesome. It's funny how even though Kimbo is this big tough guy, he needs an entire crew to defend him all the time. Like in the Gannon fight.

I really hope that Kimbo and Rogers fight, if Rogers whooped his ***, he definitely be my favorite MMA fighter for putting all this stupidity to rest. I'm so tired of Kimbo getting attention he doesn't deserve.

Man, a lot of people here don't know shit bout MMA or its origins. STFU and read about something before you talk, just because you watch MMA doesn't mean you are part of it.

If you want "original MMA" or "grass roots:laugh: MMA", call Doc Brown and have him bring his DeLorean. 1920's Rio de Janeiro, thats where it started, Vale Tudo(Everything Goes in Brazilian Portuguese) was created by Hélio Gracie to promote Brazilian jiu-jitsu.

Rorion Gracie came to the United States and introduced vale tudo to America and helped create the UFC with Art Davie a southern California advertising executive. The UFC was started as a tournament to find the world's best fighters irrespective of their style, and was based upon Brazilian vale tudo fighting or No Holds Barred.

UFC and the sport of MMA had to evolve over the years everywhere except Brazil where Vale Tudo rules still apply. The UFC increased its cooperation with state athletic commissions and redesigned its rules to remove the less palatable elements of fights while retaining the core elements of striking and grappling. Weight classes were introduced at UFC 12; gloves became mandatory and kicks to a downed opponent, hair pulling, and groin strikes were banned at UFC 14. UFC 15 saw more limitations on permissible striking areas: strikes to the back of the neck and head, and small joint manipulations were banned. With five-minute rounds introduced at UFC 21, the UFC gradually re-branded itself as a sport rather than a spectacle.

you could look at it the other way though. he talked shit in a press conference where he knew they wouldnt let the to guys fight. he knew he was protected. now if he said that to kimbo's face in a back alley, then id say hes a bad *** and i respect him. and honestly that press conference is nothing new. its like every boxing press conference. theres always "almost fights" and talking shit in those also.

I thought that at first too, but it wasn't really even shit talking. He was just giving his honest opinion what happened. He didn't say "YOU TAPPED OUT DAWG WHEN HE WAS ALL UP IN YO GRILLZ". He said he was standing right there and he saw Kimbo tap out. I'm glad to see someone stand up to him and say what they think without looking like a dumb niggar. I hope Big Black sits on Kimbo's face.

think about how much money he potentially just made himself (rogers) win or lose. he pretty much set himself up for a match (more than likely a headlining) with kimbo.

He speaks the truth . I aggree . but people will always favor the cash cow
My point is sometimes it is not all about skills. Did you say in 1988 that Tyson's ex sparring partner Lewis could have owned him because he was more technically sound? Nope. If you wasn't 1 or 2 years old, you would have said that it would be a one hitter quitter. Power>skills .........sometimes. He is by no means the greatest I ever saw,

brock vs kimbo ill pay to see that . kimbo would die. if kimbo is the next best thing for mma then i should consider brock first he showed more potential then kimbo.
Brock got tapped out his first match I believe. And his WWE as well as his Minnesota Golden Gopher wrestling background would make him more technically savvy than Kimbo.
