I ordered 2 of these back when they were first posted.

I have also ran the 3002 when these bad heatsink batches were first relesed, If you have them in a well vented area or some sort of fan shroud you will be fine.

these amplifiers run hot reguardless of the short heatsink or not.

I have had pretty much every model of these TXA series, Best bang for the buck amp you will ever find imo.

Best bang for the buck amp you will ever find imo.

x2, I was really happy with mine.

It should be noted for those that don't know though- this amp's gains CANNOT be set with a DMM.

Run some computer fans and you should be fine. As hot as things get here in the summer in Tx I would be kind of scared of a fire. I'm glad I already have more amps than I can use.

I ordered a 4 channel last week; it'll be here tomorrow. My TXAs I have now are champs and you can't beat the price... I'll post up when I get 3004 installed. $40 is barely a gamble in my opinion... it'll just be a lesson learned if is doesn't last too long. I figure a 20+mm computer fan ******* heat and it should be fine.
