these are part of a batch of rejects. the heatsink is half the size of the good versions and partially covered by the backplate. they were not sold by cadence due to overheating problems. there is a 2 (3002) channel and a 4 (3004) channel version.

that being said, some who have this version have tested them and had mixed results, most of them good. using fans and cutting the backplate are the 2 best solutions thus far. there are far worse ways to spend $40.

I can't imagine running them at a half power would require any modifications. Much more expensive ways to get 300 watts around. Dammit, I don't know :/

last year i bought a 3004 and a 6004 from jason paul (great guy) who used to work for cadence. just before i ordered my 6004 i found one on ebay for half the cost. i called him and asked why and he explained it. this batch of them have been around for a few weeks now and they are the cheapest yet.

it's $40. do you feel like gambling? i suppose you could put bags of ice over them to keep em cool, but i would use ziploc if i were you.

Just take off the top and put like 8 computer fans on it. It would be a nice deal if they worked for more than 20 minutes, which they probably wouldnt.

I have never tried one. Hell, its 40 bucks, I would say try it if you dont plan on pushing them hard. I was considering getting one to run a component set about 2 weeks ago, just never got around to buying it.

My sub, especially run IB style, can only handle 200-300 before I'll start killing the suspension.

Not pushing it hard at all... Leave the gains on minimum and be good. Yeah, I'll grab one in the morning if some are left.

Just ordered one...

Going to be powering 2 Memphis SE 12's

Plan on using the amp for 150x2@4 or 300x2(going to just use one channel)@2.

Lets hope all turns out well...If not, ill be trying said ^^ remedies.
