kicker's zx series @ 1 ohm?

anyone do this successfully for a long period of time?

I have a warranty so it isn't a big deal if i kill it, just wondering if it is possible with impedance rise and all.

just FYI, i ran my zx300.1 at one ohm for a good 10 minutes, playing some bass tunes and what have you at 1/4 gain setting... doesn't even get as warm as when i had it at 4ohms with the gain at 1/2... I'll continue to do some testing but it does some good power at 1 ohm...

If it's mono, and not turned up too high, it will probably be fine. If I'm not mistaking, ng runs his zx2500.1 @ 1 ohm daily. I have no hands on experience with these amps, however.

If it dies because of being ran at too low of an impedance, I bet kicker would know.

Might find out if it can run that low FOR SURE before doing it for any period of time, just to be safe.

it will be fine at 1ohm because of imp. rise, dont go any lower....

it'll do fine; we ran three 4 ohm svc DD subs wired down to a 1.33 ohm load off of a zx series amp; did perfectly fine

Indeed. At super high volumes, full power burp type deal... it shuts off then comes back on...
