kicker zx1500 or dc audio 2k amp?

I wanted to know if the dc audio 2k amp is worth the money or is the kicker zx1500 do the same job for half the price?

if its twice the price i would get the kicker. You won't hear the difference of 500 watts most likely. The zx1500.1 is a strong amp especially if ran at 1 ohm. I would suggest running it at 2 ohms though but its still good for 1700-1800 watts. The only thing is they are designed to play at different ohm loads. So if you need a 1 ohm amp get the dc, if you need a 2 ohm amp get the kicker. I do believe that at 1 ohm the kicker is stronger than the dc, have seen tests on the kicker at 1 ohm(around 2300 watts) but not sure how underrated the dc might be

yeah i plan on buying one dc audio xl 15" rated for 1500 watts rms. I wanted to know if i could save myself a few bucks by getting the kicker amp without effecting the most performance for the sub

I'm running my XL on 1500 and it seems to be a little more power hungry than that so I'd say either go with the DC 2k or an AQ2200d. the AQ is about 35 buck cheaper than the DC but I was told they use almost the same board.

yes, from what i've read, I've also heard some really good htings about the brz line from hifonics

Those BRZs are pretty legit. I dont know about THD wise (I dont care much on mono amps honestly), but I think the BRZs definately do their power and then some

Its hard to beat Kicker for the price and performance. Most ZX 1500.1's push 1600 to 1700 watts straight out of the box at 2 ohms. If the DC amp is double the price, then it should be a no brainer.

i have a kicker zx1500.1 and i love it i needed power at 2 ohm so i would say depends what ohm load u are going to run first before u buy a amp

what amp would ya'll recommend me a 2400watts hifonics? or a zx1500. kicker amp? i had a 1600watts brutus and well it sounded pretty good but just dimmed out my lights pretty bad even when i had a red top and two capacitors.

op. what VC config of the xl are your getting, if its the dual 1/.7 go with the kicker and have power at 2 ohms. if its dual 2/1.4 then get the dc and run it at or just under 1 ohm.
