Kicker zx1000.1

i have a 12" L7 and i was wondering how much better would a Kicker zx1000.1 would sound vs. a zx750.1? alot louder? around the same? a noticable difference? also would i need a capaciter for either?

unless you plan on an upgrade later than you would need the extra 250 rms....

Sooner or later you will want to upgrade. Get the bigger amp if you have the cash.

Every 06ZX750.1 birth sheet I have seen have been right around 950rms @ 2ohms. Not sure about the new 08's, but my guess would be they are the same.

not true... my 1000.1 weighed in at just over 1200, 1236 i believe, so it's alot for 1 L7... unless you want to go to a 15" in the future, i'd stick with a 750.1

about every 750 ive seen was 940ish

the 1000s i saw werent that big of an improvement

what about a 15" L7 daily, with near stock alt and a new but not very powerfull battery?

would 1000.1 be too much for the car? or should i just save 100$ and get the 750.1

would there be any big difference?

not to thread jack or anything but im in the same situation here. I have a Fi Q 12" and am debating on the kicker zx1000.1 but from what has been said in this thread the zx750.1 gives almost as much power as the zx1000.1 and there would be no sound difference between the 2? If thats the case then maybe i will go for the 750 rather. This is for daily use as well.

give or take, the 750.1 will do 750-875 watts, 1000.1 will do 1100-1250.
