Kicker ZX(KX) at 1 ohm?

Ive heard from several people on here that they will run at 1 ohm, and ive heard from severeal people that they won't.

I talked to a technical rep from kicker today, he said no way.. but i think that's just what he has to say..

My friend has ran his zx750.1 at 1 ohm for some time now. I plan to run my zx2500.1 at one ohm as well. If your careful it will be fine. I wouldnt run it full tilt for hours on end though.

my 2500.1 will play music at 1 ohm but gets warm doing so.

my kx was the same way. it would get warm but no more than warm (always staying around 12-13v) and would take the abuse for ALL DAY daily. even with a not so hot electrical system that amp took an *** beating andf kept pumping efficently and not never more than warm or really warm.

im runnin my zx 1500 at 2 ohms and it pounds my 2 15'" l7s and gets slightly warm....ive heard from polecat that you can run them at 1 ohm if your careful

must depend because i have a kx2500.1 and a good electrical and it "ran" but it didnt like it. subs kept popping between notes, but it ran fine on 4 ohm. im in the process of reconing my subs to get a 2 ohm final load now because of this

i run all 4 of mine @ 1 ohm daily all day loooooooong. no problems here.

oh, and mine was a refurb by the way, but it was refurbed by kicker, so i dont see why it should be a bad amp. i cant send it back because its not supposed to run at 1 ohm anyway
