Kicker ZX dead already!?!

I'm sure a few of you saw my beginning of the build thread. It involved a ZX1000.1 powering 2 W6V2's (yes at 1 ohm) and a ZX650.4 powering Kicker SS comps. The gain on the 1000 was set at about 5, no bass boost, while the 650 was set at 5 for the mids, 4.5 for the tweeters. Well, the 1000 runnign at 1 ohm is pushing the JL's like a champ! However, today, I started my car, and I had no sound out of the comps //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/frown.gif.a3531fa0534503350665a1e957861287.gif . The red light was on on the amp. I unplugged everything, and plugged in just the power/ground and remote, and still red. I haven't taken voltage measurements yet, but the power/ground are off the same blocks that the 1000.1 is off of. Sound like I need to send this in??

Reading is still > you. Its not the sub amp that is not working, its the comp amp, tardface.

well that makes me nervous... i just installed a 650.4 saturday for my rs comps...

i had a similar issue w mine, it was alow voltage protect circuit kicking in when my breaker popped betreen the front and back batteries.

id check something in the D block, as the class d sub amp needs less power to "turn on" then the comp amp.

check that, and the remote wire, and then go from there.

The ZX Mono amps actually ARE NOT 1 ohm stable, but they are widely known for their great build and their ability to play 1 ohm and lower daily, and I'm sure you've read it a million times on these boards and have it imprinted in your mind that they are //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif

wanna ****ing bet jackass! go look at kickers website and it will plainly say it only runs at 2 ohms, nowhere does it say its 1 ohm stable u retard.

Well, I just checked and rechecked my wires/voltages. I'm getting the same 14.38 volts at the 1000.1 as I am at the 650.4. Blocks seem to be working. Tried rigging a turn on straight off of the positive distro block, no luck there, so it isn't the turn on. Did this with all cables, speaker and RCA, unplugged. WTF is going on.
