Kicker vs RE?

why not go with 2 re se's? they can handel 600 rms to each daily and they would be silly loud and still very clean? I had the L7's. They are loud they are very loud but even tho ur putting them in the trunk i'd still rather have a loud sub thats still gonna sound good if i open the trunk and show it to ppl. I mean for 2 at about 325 shipped new thats not bad and it runs perfect with your amp and you'll get a lot of bass. not to mention you will have way more effictive piston area than 1 l7 15 or 2 l7 12's. and they will be driven jsut right. with actually getting the recommended power to the subs you get the most out of each. with the kicker you wont. but what your budget is i dunno. but check these out. if you can get them cheaper i say do it. but yeah... either of the two you just mention would have the exact same ohm setting if you wire it to the lowest stable ohm your amp is capable of 2 ohms.... but with these two subs you be able to wire your amp down to 1 ohm and get the most out of both your subs and your amp. http://cgi.ebay.com/2-RE-AUDIO-SE12D4-SE-12-D4-1200w-CAR-SUBWOOFER-SE12_W0QQitemZ300342513207QQcmdZViewItemQQptZCar_Subwoofers_Enclosures?hash=item45edcf0e37&_trksid=p3286.c0.m14

Do you think a refurbished kicker 15 from hifisoundconnection will still be in good condition? comes with a 3 month warranty
That's what I did. Of course I blew it 4 months later by screwing up gain and having bass boost on (accidentally).

I say this. the kicker is ok but for a little more money ( i know its hard to come by ) but for a little more money you get 2 NEW subs. You will be able to use a smaller box, be able to utilize the sub to its full potential as well as your amp. You will also be able to get as much bass if not more with those two subs with less space and same power... just a good option in my opinion. dunno what do you all think? L7 or 2 re se's?

RE-SE

not only will the SE's flex your car it will also rubble the shit out of everthing around you.

you will feel it in your my neck, back & my head.

plus everybody around will know where you live so they can steal it from you.

RE is pound pound pouuunnnddd, verse Kicker Fart Fart FAAARRTTT

A pair of SE's taking up less space than a single L7? Really? how much do they need? 1.5cu or something?

Also, okie, I'm going to take a wild guess that you've never heard a Kicker sub in anything but a pre-fab box.

i would go with RE because i have a 15" sx and it POUNDS with only 760rms (need bigger amp) and my friend HAD a MT 18. re will pound, but i do have a friend with 3 12" l7's in his truck, now he unfortunitly dosnt care about what i say because he is running 2 off of a kicker sx600.2 and only getting 275rms and the third one is on a small alpine amp, and their in a crap box, it is fairly loud but no wear near my sx. if powerd right the L7s will HIT hard but i know i guy at a little audio shop and they us RE in their project cars and the guy showed me the car(unfinished so i couldnt hear it) and i has 4 12" RE MXs in a custom ported encloser (had 6 12" in sealed but didnt like it) and he was running them off of 2 soundstream xxx4000d's so they can handel some serious power. my opinion RE.

yes the 2 12's would rock in only 3 cubes. you can put those two 12's in 3 cubes tuned at 35 htz and I could put 20 bucks on saying that the 2 12's will out shine the l7 15. each sub only getting 600 rms and loving every bit of it. not only will the 12's outperform the L7 but it will also have an uncomparable sq.

Hey SomeGuyDude,

I have a couple of friends that have & love kickers in there ride, yes in custom boxes.

Living in the SF bayarea i get to hear lots of different setups, which i feel lucky to live in cali.

Sometimes i just be talking shit about kicker or what not, but i think it's really up to your ears to hear what you like or not.

The only brand that i will say isnt worth the money is JL speakers.

Dont get me wrong they make a solid sub,I just think they are over rated as a company.
