Most of the L7s that I have heard sounded really good to me. The pair I heard that didnt sound good were in a bandpass box and although I didnt measure it, It didnt look like it was big enough.

post links or pics or something where you saw a real SQ comp vehicle with kicker subs in it
Mark Eldridge, Gary Biggs, Rob Rice.......all pro and ultimate champions..course 2 switched to JBL and did the same thing...Mark also had won using MTX....i do know he used to use altec horn drivers though from the mtx and kicker systems

go with an RE se //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif. I guarantee you it will sound better than a lot of subs (i know its not the ultimate sq sub, not even close) but i've put some in shitty boxes before and they still manage to sound good. oh and they can get decently loud for what they are //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif

If youre going ported and have 1kw go with the sx hands down, it will slap.. if youre going sealed go with the SE.. uhh kickers sound muddy to me, i would never personally run a kicker... the sx will impress you plenty in 2 cubes to 33 hz.... an se will slap hard and still go decently low in 1.5 cubes sealed.

i ran an l7 in 3 cubes at about 1000W and it slammed hard, kept up with fast beats and all that stuff, and didnt kill my wallet. get a nice set of RCAs from like.. knu or something, get good power wire, build a nice box, dont go with a pre fab box, and itll hit very well.

me yooo toob link.

never heard an SX that i would ever place it in a sentence with SQ much less say it were an SQ woofer...loud yes, decent yes, SQ no way too peaky and as smooth as 60 grit sand paper:laugh://content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/crazy.gif.c13912c32de98515d3142759a824dae7.gif

Re-read what you quoted several times and i didnt see him say anything about the SX having SQ..

anyways, i have the RE SX off 800~ until i get my new amp and im more than happy with it.

Here are is a video of the SX

The SE was struggling to keep up with the power while the SX handled it with ease

if the L7 sounded muddy vs an SX then the SX sounded like lumpy oatmeal //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/laugh.gif.48439b2acf2cfca21620f01e7f77d1e4.gif SX is very MUDDY even gains way down..mud vs mud isnt sq related?//content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/laugh.gif.48439b2acf2cfca21620f01e7f77d1e4.gif

its going into a 99 mustang gt convertible and i want to have some room for other things. so im thinking my box isnt going to be anymore than 2cft and im going ported at about 33hz with the hifonics bxi1608d which will be giving it 1100 watts at 2ohms. will that box even fit inside the trunk of the mustang after being built? the opening is not very big at all for the trunk? anyone with a mustang and pics?
