Kicker vs. Fi

sorry bout that, mis-read. will the 18" BTL do alright in an 8 ft^3 ported enclosure??? what would I tune it to???
How would 3 10" Fi.BLs do? I would love out knock him with 10s and I like the cleaner sound of 10s.

As said above. 10's sound no cleaner, or "tighter" than 18's, or a 21" for that matter.

But. If you get 2 15 BL's, with a proper ported enclosure. Then it won't even be a competition.

thanks for all the input from everyone, i'm now leaning towards 2 15 Fi.BL with 8 ft^3 tuned to 30 hz. once i get started on the build i'll post on the build log.

One 18" BTL in an 8 cube ported enclosure would smash those Kickers. However, if you want to retain some musicality, go for the BLs or the Qs. You could probably stomp on his Kickers with the Qs ported, and they would sound great if you wanted to turn them down for daily listening

It's always about install anyway. Equipment helps in some cases, but in mine I had an Fi Q with nothing but problems with it. It did sound good when it worked correctly, but I have had better luck with my Kicker CVX, which sounds just as good and has not had one problem with it.

I may have missed it, but are you taking out the back seats?

What probs have you had. I'm stuck b/w buying exactly those two CVX12's and Q12's. The CVX's are way cheaper.

Backseats have already been taken out, it's just an empty space now.
