yea the audiopipe will do 1500+, but if you want big brand name go with the alpine. You can expect 1100+ outta the alpine, most pdx/mrps I've seen do more than rated.

x3 on this being one of the dumbest things I've heard.

Alpine PDX Amps do about 200 over rated. The modern V-series amps, though, do rated and that's about it. I just sold off four of them (MRP-F450, M650, M850, M500) and they're decent. No problems with heat, but they're expensive and aren't 1ohm stable (the monoblocks). You can do better for the money.

MB Quart is Maxxsonics best line. Maxxsonics has been known to be a great value for the money. Will pretty much do rated for a very reasonable price. No one said that Alpine and Kicker ****. Both make good amps. However, both cost much more than comparable quality amps and arent 1ohm stable.

If you want to pay for name, go head. But when someone blows away your system running MB Quart, AQ, SAZ etc just remember that they may have payed less than you, because they didnt give a shit about mainstream name rep
