Still doesnt change the fact that Kicker isnt bad at all.

Cheap basket/coils and awful pricing (how does this not make kicker bad ?).
If you can easily get beaten by many brands in the same price range, then that makes you pretty bad (buddy did two E12s with amp and box for around $450, it crushes two CVR's in both output and sound quality).

Noone cares about any of that as long as the sub sounds good and performs. Most dont even look at the internals of a sub. A 2" voice coil, poly cone, santoprene surround, 500watt power handling. For an average persons daily driver, that is perfect. I dont need a 2000watt subwoofer with triple stacked magnets. I love the way it sounds.

Most of the online brand subs that are talked about have cookie cutter baskets, so dont talk about cheap. At least Kicker can afford custom proprietary baskets. Not baskets made by one company and distributed to a ton of small sub companies. Kicker does alot of things right. And if a $150 sub it way to expensive, get a new job. I actually think that is damm cheap. Like I said, I dont need a 1500watt rms subwoofer for the same $150, its pointless. Im not putting a 1500watt amp in my car anyhow.

I like Kicker, so nothing said will change that. I believe they make good equipment.

Maybe, I had a chance at RE's as well. But the CompR still work for me.

There will always be better subs than another sub. My CompR on 350watts sounds good and bumps nicely.
