Kicker solo-x

yeah and you have honda in your name, tell me you dont drive one.. i like hondas and all but you would never be ablt to get 2000+ rms in a honda without a big elec. buildup.

hell i would wonder if 1000 watts rms would be ok depending on the tear of your car

you might be maxed out with the VRs for now to bve honest.. given power and elec. capability.

I dont have a honda car. I would never own one. I have a honda CR 125 dirtbike. I have a 94 grand prix at the moment but it is up for sale, I am getting a eagle talon esi hopefully.

Either way they're both small motor cars and will deffinately not have enough juice to power a bohemouth like a solo X. on stock electrical i'd bet your lucky to get 1000rms capable.

let me use myself as an example---> 97 nissan altima 2.4L 80A alternator stock, 4awg power wire and 875cca batt (475cca stock), 3 farad cap; im running 600+rms to my L7 and from reading the voltage on my cap i think i'd max out my car's capability around 700-800rms.

im now upgrading to a kicker zx750.1 n zx650.4 and going with a 180A alternator, 2awg power wire n Big3. its not simple to get 1000+rms out of a stock vehicle/electrical yet not too difficult. it just take some research, knowledge, and a lil cash.

Why do you want a Solo X in the 1st place? because everything you've said sounds like an L7 would be better for you!

I want the solo-x because i have heard they are really loud, and that is what i want, and also they are on ebay for $350, isnt the retail like $1k? So i could buy one and use it for a while and sell it for like $600 and make some money while im at it. I have heard a 10" L7 and i didnt think it was that loud, not any louder than my premiers. I dont think a 12 would be a whole lot louder. What other subs would be better since the solo-x doesnt seem like a good idea?

... sounds like an L7 would be better for you!
i doubt youd be able to sell the solo for that much also be careful buying online make sre its from an authorized dealer. The Solo X is more a competition sub, i love my single 12" L7 and with only 600+rms going to it n in a sealed box, its still pretty loud. i think itd be too much effort for you to properly run a Solo X, go with an L7 man!
