Kicker Question

Hey everyone.

I know that some people think Kicker is crud.. but, I have the option to either get an L7 15 sealed, or an L7 12 in the vented box from Kicker.

I have heard an L7 15 in a car, sealed.. And it slams, but i have only heard the vented box in a showroom, not in anything.

I am going to be powering it w/ a PPI 2125 amp. 500w RMS, 1000w Peak @ 4 ohms.

I am also wondering how the 12" vented box would compare to 2 12" subs sealed. Because i have had 2 12" Diamond Audio M5's, but i blew them.

dont buy a kicker pre-fab box...you need to build one and make it huge, b/c those subs need a lot of space to sound good.

415 for either one? hmmm, ~160+ 80 for the L5, so yeah dat's a lot. better to have thes hop make a custom box if u can't make it n it would be cheaper.

i'll say L5 instead, 500rms shouldn't be bad for L5, but i dont think enough for L7, they need power to move

The big thing that i think will make it worth the money is Dealer support.

The Dealer is my cousin,

and i'm not sure if that price is correct... but i will get it at cost, and no installation charge.

Other companies that he deals are:

Diamond, PPI, Pioneer, Bazooka, and Clarion. Probably some more..

I can also get 2 new Diamond M6's for like 5-600 bucks. I already have a sealed box that was for M5's.

I just wanted the Kicker pre-fab box because it is small.. and vented also this is going into a Jeep Wrangler, so space is a big issue.
