RE HC Tinsel Lead came loose???

One of the tinsel leads came loose or popped away from the terminal yesterday. Should I contact RE to have it fixed? It still works but one of the leads gave away. You don't want to know how I have it holding together. Also the American Pro amp thats running power to it is rated 730 watts rms @ 4-ohms. The sub was wired to 4-ohms and in a 3 cu ft ported box. Should the lead have come off with only a little over half the RMS rating of the HC? Terry at RE said he would fix my sub for free but I have to pay for shipping to and from. Shipping is alot and I don't trust UPS. I was lucky enough to get my sub damage free. I just wished they would have put a little slack in the tinsel leads.

Can someone give me step by step instructions on how to solder tinsel leads back on. First off where the heck can I find a soldering gun? Would Lowe's or Home Depot have them and how much do they normally go for?

Come on car audio experts lets hear those suggestions.

remember to get solder wire too.

easy way to do in this case i guess is to contact the solder wire w the iron, n make like a ball of solder in the iron. then connect the tinsel to the cone i believe, n touch it w the ball of solder, n it should stick to it. this is an easy way. just dont hold it touching the tinsel lead/cone too long. i'll say less than 3 secs. if u didnt' make it at first, wait a few secs to cool down, n tyr again. u can use a heat sink for the tinsel lead.
