Kicker Made in China

Half my Mercury was made in Canada/Mexico, my Dell computer is a product of China, my Premier PRS amps (old school too!) were made in Mexico. And my Beer is made in Belgium.

Ok, so the beer is good, but could we here in America do any better? I really doubt it. Americans are losing the technology race, the production race, and our economy is turning into a shitheap. As Americans succumb to inflation, we won't be able to afford our toys any other way. Get used to buying "made in China" guys. Or "Hecho en Mexico". Who doesn't want to feed the Red Army anyway?

Atleast Japan, i mean they are the electronical gurus //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/hide.gif.2d479cfd917eedfe201353b91522ceab.gif

Maybe so, but then why do very little seem to like Sony car audio? They are a Japanese company after all.

well your right on the first half but there is nothing wrong with our economy... it's doing quite well actually... and our inflation has been a steady 3% since 2000... I'm sure that will go up a bit due to the gas prices but all the rest of the world is in the same boat so it's only a temporary issue as the economy will correct for that inflation...

i highly highly doubt sonys are made in japan.

the japanese are like 2 or 3 years ahead of us in terms of technology IIRC.

Amps are made in Korea right?

I dont see why this would shock or make anyone mad.

People b!tch at prices for things as they are now, just imagine if they were made in the USA...

Like polecat said, so much is made over there. Doenst bother me. Its not like they lied and said they were made over here.

I'd never ever buy a serious sub thats made in China...
dont care if its made to the manufacturers specs or not, its still not going to be the same!!!

even Taiwan are known for making better speakers than China...
if it's built to the manufactures standards, yes, it will be the same

How is it not going to be the same if its made from the same materials and made to fit within the designers specifications and tolerances? The only thing that is different in making a sub in the U.S. and making a sub anywhere else (all things being equal) is the labor/materials cost. Thats where the money is saved.

You can assemble the same crappy parts in the U.S. too, its just costs more to do it. You can also assemble the same good parts in China, and as long as the QC is tight, there will be no difference between an amp made in the U.S and one made somewhere else.

But you would buy a not serious sub?

With every post of yours I read, I feel a little bit stupider.

If its made to the specs of the manufacturer, what influence does where its made have on it?

Does ***** born in australia feel different than ***** born in ohio?

Kicker works hand in hand with Communist bastards. //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/fyi.gif.9f1f679348da7204ce960cfc74bca8e0.gif

And this is new? Alpine went to Korea from Japan with the first generation of detach face plates back in the late 80's....same story now as it was back then. The 7513, 7514 and 7515 models + the 7607 and 7608 models were 100% Korean.
