Kicker L7

So i was thinking about buy a 15 inch L7s for my 1988 Cadillac Deville, but i have a couple of questions.

1) im not sure wat ohm to get( does it really matter)???

2) and what amp should i get to power it?

get a two ohm if possible. It really doesn't matter that much. I go with 4 ohm load personally. How much are planning on spending for the amp.

depends how much money you want to spend...i'd either get a 2 ohm sub and drop it to 1 ohm....its usually cheaper to find power at one ohm than 4 ohms. Or get the 4 ohm sub and get a amp that puts out power at 2 ohms...most kicker amps make their real power at 2 ohms if you want to match

Well i mean i didnt really have a price range but i guess if i have a to say a max i would probably say aroud 300

For just the amp? if so grab up a dual 4 ohm L7 and a ZX1000.1 amp....great match. The ZX750.1 will work also

thats the one i was looking at but i cant find it for less than like 430.... do you know any websites that have it for around 300?

check the sellers feedback. i've only bought from sellers with 98% or higher but that's just me.

and if wanting to stay at $300, you could get a sundown sae1000d for $300 shipped and run it at 1ohm to a dual 2ohm l7. just a thought if you can't find a kicker in your price range.

The zx750.1 is a good amp. I've seen them benched at around 900rms @ 2 ohms.

i was lookin at specs for the ZX1000.1 it says it only has 500watts at 4 ohms? and its a 15in so that wouldnt be very much power?

yea I believe that's right. I paid a little over 320, for my 1500.1.

Edit:

The specs on it are 500 rms at 4 ohms and 1000 at 2 ohms.
