Kicker L7 vs. Cerwin Vega Stroker

My friend just got two 15 inch strokers. Dual 4-ohm.

He is going with a ported box around 8.5-9 cubic feet before port displacement and running a 2600 watt RMS hifonics brutus amplifier.

How would two 15 inch dual 4-ohm L7's in the same enclosure with hifonics brutus 1600 RMS compare to these. Is it any chance of me keeping up with him. Or is it more of a loudness vs sound quality thing? I don't really care too much about sound quality as much as I care about SPL.

Which way do you all reccomend facing the speakers and ports. I thought about facing speakers towards rear of car and port out the side of box with correct clearance or facing speakers up and port facing the back of the car.

BTW. These are going in crown vics if that helps any.

that being said a dozen times...

some variables to look at would be the port area, port tuning, sub/port firing direction, type of car...

my vote says the strokers take it, but you never know.

Well actually I'm installing both systems. Only difference is that my friend is getting his box built at one of the local shops and then going to get it coated in line-x truckbed liner. I am building my box myself like I always do.

I noticed that for the L7's port area increases as enclosure volume increases. And port length decreases as enclosure volume increases. I was going somewhere in between the two and I want to know how to get my enclosure tuned to around 33-34 Hertz.

What would be the best sub/port firing direction in a 1999 crown victoria? If you need pics of the trunk I can get them on here this weekend after I do my big 3 upgrade and new wiring for amps.
