Hey guys, I'm going to be hooking up a pair of 12" kicker L7s here soon so I was going to get started on the box but when I looked up recommended box specs kicker says from 3-6 cubes per sub! I thought that was a little large?

Has anybody got any experience with some boxes for the L7s?

What is optimal size and tuning?

I hate building a box and end up not liking it and turn around to build a 2nd so I figured I would just ask first!

Thanks in advance

3ft by 2 ft by 14.5 tall outside dimensions

it iss 5.8cf total

The box should be 14.5" tall x 36" wide x 24" deep.

The port should be 13" tall x 4.5" wide x 19.3" long

Please use 3/4" MDF for construction of the port and enclosure.

This enclosure is tuned to 38Hz with a 3dB down point of 32Hz.

depending on power ( I would not go more than 2kw total if that ) this design is about as loud as they get in a simple box w/o sounding totally crappy... ( which is hard because they do lol )

if you want to go sealed...1.75 each but won't get near as loud
Won't be going sealed
