Kicker L7 06 Vs Kicker L7 08+

Right now I have 4 Kicker L7 06. some say they are better then the newer one. Is that true?

Better how?

The 06's were nice cosmetically (last L7 in the series to use the chromed bottom plates), and personally I preferred the charcoal colored cone versus the flashy silver and chrome finishes in the previous gens - but performance-wise, I wouldn't say they were anything special.

The 04's were a bit louder on the TermLab versus an 08 (about .5 db in my testing), but the suspension on them gets really soft as they break-in, leading to problems in daily use.
