amp goes into protect when i turn it up. i turn it back down and the subs keep hitting. the ground is good, the gains are almost all the way down.

what preamp voltage are your rca outs. What size power/ground, what battery, what amp alt?

Sounds like an impedence issue. What ohms are your subs and how do you have them wired?

2 ohm load, stock battery and alt. 1/0 power and ground. not sure on the preamp voltage.

I just find it a bit strange that we were having the exact same problem. I noticed that when the amp got here you had the gains turned down quite a bit. 2 lines below half way I believe, which is about where I have them to get the amp to play without going into protect.

i had the gains down because they were overpowering SSD's and i didnt want to blow them.
