kicker jeep

Let me tell y'all about my little toy,

I've got a '96 Jeep Grand Cherokee Limited. Alpine deck, kicker resolution 6.5 components in the front doors, 5.25 resolution components in Q-forms in the floorboards, 6.5 resolution midbass in the back dorrs. all pushed by kicker 460.

To accompany the earpiercing highs, I have a custom slot ported box containg 3 kicker soloberic 12" L7's. Powered by a Kicker ZR1000. To help the 1000 out I've added a Stinger 1 farad digital cap.

The components, distribution blocks, security system components, and cap are all encased in plexyglass. Etched in the plexyglass is KICKER and accented in neon blue lighting to match the lighting of my deck. Flush mounted on the top are my two amps, along with the 3 L7 mounted side by side.

Installation will be complete as of March 30. current forecast is a hit of around 150-152 dB. But I guess I won't know until I actaully get to test.

If anyone has any advise as to what else I could do for this beast, it would be greatly appreciated. I would like to know of any problems I would have. I already plan on having the interior dynomatted and t-blocked for sound dampening. I was told that there is nothing you can do about a rattling hatch. I am also going to get a marine battery and an upgraded pheonix gold alternator.

for one i like what u got But for the best Air space leave the Rear Seat , Build a Custom Amp Rack.. u can find Some pretty cool ones if u search for them .....umm man i know that u want to slam... so i would Get the Best box for the L7 and go from there . also remember to always have jumper Cables and maybe get a bigger Bat. and if u have enough money get a high's amp...my personal Fav. High's amp is a 240Bm Sherwood amp:)

My only suggestion would be more power to those L7s... For the best results your looking at 750 rms watts to each of those 3 L7 and your not going to get that from a single zr1000 and then youll just end up kicking yourself for not goin all out. Nothing bugs me more than knowing theres wasted potential in any setup I build. If at a later date you realize you need more power then you have the trouble of figuring out where to put the additional amp plus it wont be burned in as well as the one you have already been using. On another note if you get more power behind your stuff your going to need atleast one other 1 farad cap and probably an upgrade on your alternator. Sounds like a bad *** setup though. Im just bein critical for ya //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif Hope it turns out well.

The L7's are hungry....feed em' more power baby!!! //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/wink.gif.608e3ea05f1a9f98611af0861652f8fb.gif Your install sounds good to me...good luck completing it and send some pics my way when you have some:)
