Kicker CVR makin odd noise

Yes full is just what it is, full sound with no filters. BUT you said the deck has a crossover, so it will not play any vocals from the subs cuz the deck will be filtering out an highs.. I would try 80 on the deck.

ok thats what i thought but since i had someone to ask i tought id check again. so i turn the X-over to FULL, and run it mono or stereo? I've always run mono. if this doesnt fix it what else could it be, if u know any other possible things please tell me. im replacing tshe RCA's tomorrow, and ive got the amp set as u say right now as its sitting in front of me.

and also as i go throuh my settings on my deck, it doesnt specify that the LPF is for the sub, it just comes right after the sub woofer level , so im takin it as the control for the sub. am i rite?

I am not really sure. My deck does not have a subwoofer crossover, nor does it have a filter for it. Mine just has a bass frequency setting..

Easy way to find out if the deck has a sub crossover is to put the amp on full and see if its got bass or vocals also.. It doesnt matter if you do stereo or mono, just hook it up the best way to match the sub/s to the amp as far as the ohm load and stuff..

ok i will try it all in the mornin. i greatly appriciate all the time and answers. will post back when i get done. unless i just wait for the one 12 to come back from kicker next week which gives time to build a new box, and add some deadening. again, thanks.!!!

never got around to it. as i said yesterday Ive got the 1 sub here and 1 sub at kicker. so i took everything out.. well i took the one sub i have at home inside instead of leavin it in the box. well dumb a s s me left the empty box outside and when the sprinklers hit at 7am, well they hit the box enough that it was swollen. so until i get to work tomorrow and i can bring home a sheet of mdf no process can be made, which sucks Asz

:EDIT: I will post back or PM u what I come up with. plus my new wires will be here in the morning!

yeh i think it was.. i think it was worn out.. and i found a small leak.. should i do them at 1cuft each or bigger? i dont have much room, my max is 14"H x 38"L x 18" D

but id like room to carry my daughters stroller or whatever I mite need to carry for her.. mustangs already have no back seat and no trunk, so im tryin to make it where its small enough to fit, but big enough to handle around 500w each.

ok so update. hooked up the amp and the CVR that was making noise, turned the amp to FULL/Mono LPF on deck was tryed in all three options, 80/120/160. The sub is no longer making the noise, the RCA cables were not damaged. no gains were turned on, LPF and HPF on amp were turned down all the way, no music/vocals from sub, just bass. but it sounded like ***. wasnt in my box, had my buddy bring his old box for a single 12 over which was also sealed at 1.5cuft. a little smaller than mine. Wouldnt pick up the songs like it used to, just sounded terrible.. where to go from here?
