Kicker Comp VR's

I just wanted to say how amazed I am at the spl of the comp vr's. I own two and am hitting 151 db in my truck. Too much attention is on the L7, and it seems people don't realize how good the comp vr is (not saying that I wouldn't love to own some L7's). If you've heard some or own some, please leave your opinions here.

Yes indeed, The CVR's are a good sub. They are so inexpensive also. I mean. I can get a 18'' CVT for less that i could get 10'' L7. I owned two L7 15''s. I would highly reccomend them. I ahve a buddy who has 1 L7 15'' in a s-10 with a kicker 1200x1 pushing it, and hit a 152 on the dash. It all depneds on amps/box and what they are going into.

i had 300 watts (xtant 603x) going to a pair or cvr 12s that i got the pair for like 150

the box was a 4.7 cube sealed box, and sounded awesome.....never competed tho

i'm glad you like them.. my experience w/the vr's weren't as good as you say they were then again i had 2 10s.. funny thing is i had upgraded to 1 12w3 and it sounded so much better.

mad props to the kicker comps though... (read my review)

i have had a great experience with kicker comp vr's. not many people believe this but a person who used to go to the same school as i had 2 12" kicker comp VR's ran by a 700 watt amp. it was one hell of an install in the trunk of a saturn. when he was running both subs his windshield would begin to crack at the edges. it got so bad he had to replace the windshield and he then only ran one of them, but put it in a bigger box and omg. ive never heard another kicker comp VR pound like that before. it amazed me. the thing moved my hair around like crazy. it was great.

i have a extened cab Z71 and was curious about installing downfiring 2 / 12" kicker cvr's in sealed boxs......what do you think...also plan on pushing them with a jl audio 1000/1....i do realize mods will have to be made on rear seat height...please help???? my mids and highs are covered by infinity kappa series and pushed by jl audio 300/4...alpine 9811 head unit..

A lot of people don't realize how much excursion the comp vr's have. If you want to downfire them you will need some decent clearance. But if you keep the enclosure volume small you will get amazing, tight bass. Plus they hit low.

Im kinda doubting you hit a 151 with a pair of comp Vrs, in a truck, proly sealed......unless it was doors open and a realy loose meter.
It was an audio control meter, but you're right, the windows were down. I will get a more accurate reading in the upcoming season. P.S. The db is going to be louder in a truck (single cab) do to less cabin space which in turn will help increase cabin pressure during high spl.
