Bro for $150 you will get a clean, reliable 500 watts if you are buying new. If you think you are going to get more you are wrong. If you see big numbers it's BS. Either it won't do it or it will burn up in a few weeks. Dirty power will kill your electrical, kill your amp, and kill your sub.

Old audiopipe or new apsm audiopipes? Even the apsm 1500 does 800-900 clean at 1 ohm clamps. They are budget power man, what do you expect?

Honest opinion do you think mrp500 wired to 2 ohms with rise will actually get louder then a budget amp one at 1 ohm?

Power, from my personal experience. Its worth the wait big time. Wait until you can drop a good $750 into your system, that's if you build your own box.

same league as the belva. just budget power.

It will last longer, be more efficient, maintain clean longer... So yes I do. And the subs will be happier.

if you do want hifonics, go with a brutus(brx, brz, bre) series. Check into ppi BA amps or if you can, find a ppi bk 1800 used. Despite what people say, its always good to have headroom power with these sundown subs.

Your best bet is to hit up the classifieds and buy one used, you'll get a lot more bang for your buck. You are protected with paypal too so no worries there. Bought both of my brx2400 used one for 180 and one for 200 shipped while they are normally 300$ retail

as long as you arent clipping, they dont really pull extreme amounts of currents but they do work. Reason why I asked because I was just not impressed with the overall output of an mrp 500 on a 12 jl W3 but that might have been because it was just in a factory JL box. The guy switched over to an mbquart onyx 1600 and it sounded a lot better and had a lot more output.

Yeah, never took a shot with the ppi bk 1800 because there was no conclusive clamp tests. However the PPI BA series have a whole thread on CACO with multiple clamps and they did very well. However only one was done with an O-scope, he had horrible voltages still did good numbers and had a soft clip.
