kicker amps

I have two kicker amps put in a storage compartment. The question is how good are their heat sinks and fans. The cause of my noise is the aftermarjet fan in there. I couldnt fit the end caps with it in so Im thinking about pulling it and putting the end caps back on. The weather in summer sometimes rewaches 100 or more. Will these amops be okay in that compartment or will they over heat. Im going to have the shop reground the fan and hopefully thatt takes care of it. They unplugged it and the sound went away. But the amps dont look as good with all the wires showing. What do you guys think. Thanks for the replys

Is this in the cab of the car(like not in the trunk of anything). If it's just walled off in a little storage compartment, I wouldn't be too worried about it. I'd say just wait and see what happens, if they go into protect mode, then put the fan back on. But if it's not hard to put the fan back on and get it working again, I'd do that instead just to ensure the amps live longer. I dont know. I just contradicted myself.

It is in my durango the storage compartment is underneath my box. I put them there so I could pull the box and still have all the cargo room that a stock durango has. Im not sure what to do AI know the noise has to go away hopefully a new ground will fix it

I cant seem to get rid of mt ground loop from my aftermarket fan. Im still trying somethings but I dont know if it will work. How efficient are they? Will my amps go into protection under my cargo space without my fan? What degrees does the heatsink get up to before they go into protection? The cargo space doesnt have alot of air to be brought into the amps very little actually. I dont want to mess up my amps but its my family truck and ground noise is a big problem when going on trips and such

so you think they wont make it in there without the aftermarket fan. Ther is some air in ther but a whole lot and it would be hot air

Okay I was thinking about this. When these amps were in my car I had a amp rack right behind the back seat. There wasnt much room between tha mps and the back seat just a little. What would be the diffference between these setups? Both of them have no cold air moving into these amps. Bothe would rely on the heatsinks and fans to keep them cool. Being this do you think I still need the aftermarket fan?
