kicker 2500.1 or what

D4's? Aren't the Kickers 2 ohm amps?

And there are people all over the world running 1k+ to SA's. Including me. If you have a clue to what you're doing and are anything resembling responsible, a pair of SA12's will be fine on a 2500.

Kicker birthsheets don't mean a lot. Most kicker amps that i've seen tested put out more than what their birthsheet said. That being said i personally wouldn't run 2500 watts to two SA 12's. If you blow one will it be covered under warranty? if not you're really taking a chance

I just seen this, I was gong to correct it for you haha.

At a 2 ohm load you will be hard pressed to find to many amps in a decent price range with power. They are out there but price for them is typically higher.

but could they handle 1200-1300 watts a piece ? and i can run them down to a .5 ohm

As long as it is good clean power and you want for any clipping you should do ok. If you wired the subs to .5 ohm you would have a harder time finding an amp that is not costly and you would need upgrade your electrical if you haven't already.

Those big kickers are not that easy on the electrical to begin with.. Not as hard as running .5 though. I got a 2011 model, its a beast but i really want the Rockford T2500 cp.. i dont think Im going to be happy until I get one

yeah i no the kicker cant run at 1/2 ohm but what amp would run at a 1/2 ohm pushing around 2500 watt , and yes i no ill have to upgrade the alternator to, the big 3 ive done and i have a Kinetik KHC1800 battery already

My DTR1.3400D that I have in the classifieds is rated and stable down to .5ohms @ 3400watts rms

I feed my single SA-10 ~1200w daily. I think the Kicker 2500 would be a safe bet for 2 ohm power. Just do be sure to be careful with the gains, that is a lot of power, especially since they tend to be underrated. You can find some amps that do that power at .5 ohm, but I think doing it at 2 ohms with the kicker is a better option. Or, better yet... since you're gonna be upgrading the alternator and what not, you'll have a lot more power on tap. Find a bigger amp that does 2500 at 2 ohm, so when you upgrade to more or bigger subs in the future, you can drop it down to 1 ohm... since the kickers aren't 1 ohm stable ya know? Just a thought if you're looking to go bigger in the future.
