Hi guys,
I purchased a 2014 Kia Optima LX. It comes with 6.5" in the doors and two 2.75" in the dash. I purchased a few sets of speakers and hired someone to install them.
For the doors, I purchased the Polk Audio DB6501 speakers and for the dash I purchased the X-Infinity RED-3002CFX (3.5").
The installer installed the ones in the dash but for the doors, I was told that I can't install the tweeters unless he cuts holes and he's not quite sure where to put them. So he installed the speakers without the extra box and tweeters. Does that basically make the DB6501 a big waste of money? He told me that my dash speakers are serving as tweeters anyway and won't matter anyhow. What do you guys think? Should I get the tweeters installed someone else and have them drill holes in the doors?
Thanks,
Pat
