I recently believe my keys were stolen by a now previous room mate, it had my only keyless entry remote for my car, my uncle was gonna help me set up a new remote which I had ordered and he is very amazing with cars as he has worked on them all his life but he can't even get to the keyless part in the fuse box, now im just thinking I might as well go ahead and get a new system put in with a anti theft device as well but im curious how much its gonna cost to have it installed and such, I've seen systems and most aren't too bad priced but I don't see any places around that install it besides best buy, any advice would really be appreciated....

Agreed with this here. Since you have the unit pulled out of the car/dash...test it at your car battery directly for operation. very simple to do...

Yeah, put the probes on the power wire and ground wire of the amplifier. Multimeter on DC. Do not put it on the wires that go to your speakers. M
