Kenwood system

Hey everyone. I'm putting a stereo system in my '64 Volkswagen beetle. I've got plenty of audio experience in the DJ and club field, so installation is the least of my worries. Anyways, I don't have a lot of money to put into this, so here's my plan. Either 2 or 4 full range 5 1/4 inch's, and one 10" sub, plus a deck and an amp. I'm trying to do this for under $1000 Canadian (about $740 US). I was looking at some Kenwood stuff and was wondering how good the stuff is compared to other brands for about the same price. Also, one component would be Pioneer, plus I'm not quite sure on an amp yet.

Kenwood:

KDC-5019 AM/FM CD Player

KFC-W2585 10" Subwoofer

Pioneer:

TS-G1347 2-Way Speaker

The sub can handle a 600 watt peak (i think) and the fulls are 140 watts each. I need an opinion on the deck, as well as all the speakers, and also some suggestions for an amp. Some of the mono-sub amps look nice but im not sure.

mmkay, well lets tart at this.......1000 dollars canadian ( im canadian too) is not that much AT ALL retail...at the stores...

but on the net...buyinga at places like ikesound.com .....u can get a pretty decent system!!

check it out....kenwood isnt a great brand...for your HU, you should go for alpine...clairon...jvc.....pioneer.... and a few others but ma brain jus stopped workin. im sure someone else will tell u.

as for your sub, do nOt, go with kenwood. u will regret it. i had two of them before, they are shIt.

Alright, I looked around a bit more and I like the alpine stuff. How's this sound?

SWR-1041D 10" Sub

SPR-136A 5.25" Full Ranges (assuming the $175 US is a *pair* of speakers, not one)

CDA-7893 CD player / radio

Im still not sure what to do about an amp. I really like the look of the Audiobahn ones, but Ike-Sound doesn't have prices yet. I kinda want an amp that looks kinda flashy but works well with the sub too, and I don't want to over power it. This is the only system ever going into this car, and it will never be upgraded (hopefully) so I wanna get it right the first time! With this setup, I have approximately $200 to get an amp with. Suggestions?
