my explorer is a gas hog to,its a v6 4.0,highway is not to bad about 15 to 17 mles per gallon,but in town only about 12.

I'm wondering about this...

I played my one sub in the wall low to see if it was alright, sounds great... but I smell a little voice coil. I took the sub out of the wall, put the DMM to it and it won't give me an accurate reading. I push on the dustcap, no metal scraping. Push a flashlight to the cuts in the basket under spider, voicecoil looks bright orange.

Weird... guess we'll see what happens when I put the new sub in.

My car is now right below half tank with 80 miles... so 160 a tank I'm guessing...but my ride is SO much better with the blocks in the suspension, I'm sure that'll gain me some mpg. After I refill I will reset the tripometer and see more accurately what my mpg is.

I know, but it won't go above 0, which is weird... the blown sub coil's work fine with the DMM.

Yeah, I'm not home right now but I had it at 20 or something... same as what I tested the burnt sub with.

bright orange = copper
