**** those mudflaps were hard to take off, but it looks so much nicer now //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/biggrin.gif.d71a5d36fcbab170f2364c9f2e3946cb.gifI'm getting a top of the line Maaco job on Monday I think, painting it black. I know Maaco has a bad rep, but for $1,500 they're not gonna screw up.

IMO its a waste of money to spend 1500 on a paint job thats gonna look crappy in a year or two. I dont have experience with maaco, but I mean looking at other places its just hard to believe itll be a top notch(or even close to it) job for 1500.

As for the loudness or your system. Try keeping your bass inside your car instead of outside //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif.

Well I stopped by the shop today and they were very nice. Every time I read a review about Maaco experiences gone bad- their relationship started out as bad. I saw cars outside, and he showed me a few cars with the black paint exactly how mine would be done- looked very nice.

I got a $1,500 web design job for a local company... won't be hard to finish up, and will exactly pay for a paint job. If anyone knows of a BETTER paint/body shop (the $1500 is to paint the car a totally different color, door jambs, trunk, hood, full prep work, replace my headlights for me, and get rid of a bunch of little dings in the car) in the Miami area I'll be happy to go there instead.

The price also includes a 3 year guarantee against fading & peeling- we'll sue the hell out of them if they don't deliver. Bimma, do you mean face the subs towards the back seats rather than the opposite?

My friend got his car painted black for $1300

It wasnt a good paint job at all

The black car outside on the lot had runs, his did too

They got overspray on his exhaust ( $700 exhaust) and his rims ( $1000 rims).

I was NOT impressed with that whatsoever

They left masking tape on his trunk and doors.

They were told to remove all the dings in his doors, they didnt.

With paint jobs, you get what you pay for.

Macco gets bad reviews for a reason. But then again they still are in bussiness.

Have to say nice setup Kenny, got some good equipment. But have to say kinda of wierd that your bass is louder outside of your car. Never heard that before.

Also take a pic of your tint during the day so we can see the windows better. Peace and good job for a youngun.

the only way to properly repaint a car is to completely stip the car inside and out and paint everything. because when u pull ur carpet up or look in ur engine compartment ur still gonna see the old color and its gonna piss u off everytime. and i would stay there and watch them prep the car kuz all there going to do is throw bondo over the dings instead of pulling them out.

Oh ya....

if you wanted to get the mud flaps off you shouldve removed the tires or used a stubby screwdriver

I got them off with a bit and plyers, haha. I used a VERY stubby screwdriver and it was still too big. I didn't want to go through the trouble of taking tires off, not until I replace them in a few weeks.

imo dont bother painting it.. tan/ gold isnt that bad, there are much worse....

use the 1500 and get some rims. 20's or 18's at the least ....(or save it)

And im sure your aware your car isnt worth that much, so when you do sell it you'll probably get less money because nobody likes repaints infear of accidents ect..

though its your first car and i can respect that..Though i've learned from many car ownerships that unless you plan on keeping it forever its not worth dumping a ton of money into things you cant take off when you get rid of it..aka paint ,custom interiour ,engine mods..ect...There certaintly positives in some cases, but not many

I don't like the color at all though, and when I get rims only black will make them stand out. It has some dents in it, so when I get it painted those are being repaired too.

Man Kenny have to say you are a smart kid for 15 years of age. I am ashamed that you have a better vocabulary than myself at 28, lol! I was reading your blogs and was amazed at all that you do at such a young age. You my friend are going to do great things with your life, I am sure of it. The car is worth prob around 4.5-5K depending on the miles he has on it.
