Keep yellow tops or???

currently running 4 yellow tops inside and 1 under the hood (5 total), 170 HO alt from ohio gen, cant upgrade anymore. Big 3 Done, 8 runs of 1/0 gauge. i was wondering if getting kinetik batts would help my electrical get any better, or what i could to better my system? any suggestions would help me out. BTW im gonna be running 2 hk4000's to my 2 18 BTL's...thanks guys

just to give you an example with the dekas.

34's have:

55ah 120 reserve

31's have

100ah 190 reserve

just these figures you can see almost a doubling of a spec by changing group sizes and another one gains over 50%. so i suggest getting all g31's and also you can get by with a more effecient amp.

97 toyota tacoma 2.7L 4 banger, no room what-so-ever, gus at ohio gen can get me a small case gm that works but still its only like 190 amps, i dont think it be worth it and i cant run ext. reg b/c its small case and might fry the alt....so im kinda stuck in a rut....

You should definitley upgrade to G31's if you get a good deal on them. Those amps require a lot of current. Ideally you need a bigger alt. but since that's not an option new batteries it is.

definatly not worth to upgrade again just to gain 20A.

like i said i would definatly go for g31's and a more efficient amp. your alt should be fine.

btw, what kinda price you getting on the optima's? you can get brand new deka intimidator (agm style batts) g31's for $140 or so plus shipping. just to give you an idea.

my buddy has two. work nicely.

Since you have 4 34's in there now, If you got the cash I would run 4 G31's also.

why not run all the 5 plus whatever else u can fit and afford and as u can replace a 34 do it just do it little by little until u got all the cash
