Keep blowing fuse

I have 100amp AGU fuses that keep blowing. I have 4 gauge wire hooked to a directed 1500d amp. will a 150amp ANL fuse be bad when using only 4 gauge wire?
Does it blow when you are playing your system at full tilt/pulling the most juice? or as soon as you put it in place? could be a lot of things depending on your answer.

throw a 150 amp fuse in there and see if they keep blowing. if so you might need to upgrade to 1/0 and 250 amp fuses. that is assuming its blowing at full tilt because of to much current draw.

it could be the amp, i had an amp that was bad and kept blowing fuses if it was like past half volume, plus the amp smelled lol+

but i would recommend get an anl type fuse. agu is crap. and if you can try a diff amp in there. and like the above poster said 100a should work. my car came with a 80a fused battery terminal and with my aq1200d it never blew the fuse.

thanks guys, the fuses i used are pretty old, so maybe that had soemthign to do with it? they are probably 2 years old. but it only blows when turned way up. gain is half way up, i think if i turned gain down it will be better, but i think im just goign to buy ANL from ebay, is that a cheap place to buy em?
