Keep 2 L7's or go for the 2 Type R's???

Im planning to sell my 2 L7's and im not what to go with next. I was told to go with type r's but im not sure if they would keep up with the L7's as far as spl. Can they hang or will I b degrading??? thanx

yeah. i have built a 4.5 cube for an l7 and a 4 cube box for a type R. same power and tuning and same car. l7 was quiet a bit louder.

L7's have the cone area advantage, type-r's are known to take some abuse.

For daily SPL, I'd say stick with the L7's. I see no real reason to switch to the type-r's.

On a side note, you didn't tell us what kind of power you are running. That can determine performance as well. If it's the directed 1100d that you have listed in your sig, then there's definitely no reason to change subs.

If there is a difference, it woulden't be enough to upgrade for. I think it would just be a waste of money and time to do a change like that. Want a louder system? Get subs you know for sure will be louder and get more power, don't half *** it. If your gonna upgrade, upgrade! If you don't your just gonna want something louder again a couple monthes down the road.
