KDSHX700+MD2D+MD41 = Me Confused

Hey sorry I have never run two amps or even a single component amp. I just need some help on wiring my RCA's...

It looks like I need 2 sets of RCA's for the MD41 and obviously I have the 1 set for the MD2D. Now in the manual for the MD41 it has a diagram showing the 2 sets of RCA's going to the MD41 and then 1 set going from the output of that amp to the sub amp. Is there anything special that needs to be done to run the amps bridged like that and are there any advantages to it over just running the RCA's for the sub amp straight from the HU?

This question may be stupid but I just want to get this set up right the first time, thanks in advance. Also, I need to buy some RCA's for the MD41, could anyone guide me to a good set? Should I just get a single 4 channel set for the MD41 or a regular set and 2 y-splitters? Is there any difference?

Here's a link to my HU: http://www.bestwebbuys.com/electronics/JVC_KD_SHX700_-_Radio_/_CD_/_MP3_player-4275727.html?isrc=e-search

i would run a set from the "front" outputs to the md41 with some y-splitters.

usually when you brigde 4 channel amps you need to give the same signal to the bridged channels (ie: put a splitter on the Left channel and run that into channel 1/2 do the same with the right and 3/4)

if you were to run the sub amp from the comp amp you wouldnt be able to control the sub level from the headunit

so i would just run a seperate set of rca's for that.

i would recommend either karma or krystal series rca's from Knukonceptz.com

both are great products it just depends on what you want to spend.

that should get you on the right track.

^^^What he said....however some amps support just one set of RCAs for both sets of channels, see if your manual supports that....

Definately run seperate RCAs for the sub amp, not only can you control the sub level out through the headunit, you can also control crossover points from your HU instead of using your amp's crossover....if your HU supports either of those options....
