JVC that i need some hep with please......

Ok ay I recieved in a trade last nyte a JVC cd player. It is model number FTKD-GS920. From what tha guy told me it sometymes playes CD's other tymes it doesn't. I have yet to test it sence my car is gone and i don't have a bench testing device. Can someone reccomend somethign for me to do to make this work totoally? And also when fixed, should this JVC unit be reliable? Are they reliable to begin with? It was made in Feb. of 1997 so maybe that will hep you , help me. Anywyas if you are able to help me please post here or email me.

tha model number is actually KD-GS920. Tested it and it works fine, fold down face detach etc. Its nice.

when he said it plays some Cd's and not others...did he mean some burnt CD's? I know early Sony DVD players didn't play burnt CD's unless you use a certain brand of CD.

Naw he just said it won't play CD's some of tha tyme. I bench tested it. It played CD's just fine for me, so I'm guessing it was how he had it installed.
