Just shy of 500$ budget for Amp/Subs

use your amazon money and get a kicker zx750.1 solid amp and you will get yo use up the amazon gift certificates. then pick up a dual 2 incriminator audio lethal injection 15. should cost a little over 400 this will leave money to buy the wood to build a good ported box for it 3.5cu tuned to 35hz 50sqin of port area. this will get insane output compared to what you have and be very reliable

I wouldn't do that since the Kicker amps do power at two ohms, get a dual 4 ohm or dual 1 if your gonna run that amp....

If i was you,

I'd run two Type R 12's and an Audiopipe 1500 or 1800d in 3.5-5 cubes ported @ 32-38hz

Was thinking about snagging 2 Type R's and either a single 800 RMS amp, or two 500 rms alpines. depends on price.

2 R's and 2 MRP-500s $503.40 Shipped.

But that doesn't leave me quite enough for wood, etc.

Will definitely keep the Kicker750.1 in mind along with a 15.

wasting some cash on this amp since it's suggested by several people.

Subs I'm ordering in about a week:

Should I wire for 1 or 2 ohm? What's better for a sub, and what's better for more noise?

Box design ideas? for the R's I'd need Sub forward port back. shared or separate chamber?

What exactly do I need to tune a port if I'm building my own box?

Alpine amps are good but i would run more power to the R's, trust me, they'll love about 1200-1500 if you use your head and a dmm when setting gains....

Power Acoustik amps are extremely overrated.....Look to get around half of the rated power and it'll still be dirty....

If you try to go cheap like with PA and Boss and those brands, it won't last and it won't do rated....

Leaves you money for wiring and wood, and trust me it will get loud...

Could prolly find that amp cheaper, i've seen them as cheap as $150 shipped new...

I love my Type R's, got them for the cheap too..

No one believe's that it's only 2 12's and it's sealed and not on much power.....

I couldn't be anymore happy with them

I guess I'm saying no to Lanzar because I've just never had any luck with them....

two 12's, 1 amp & some 4guage wire.

i have my own budget kits i have for my self alot fall into budget

..trying to decide gets you no where. ditch boss every thing

you can find bunches of name brand subs 150- 300 by the pair.

500wrms-1000 wrms amps cheap ..

I'm lookin into an AP for 160. and getting dual 4 ohm type r's, only thing is no warranty through amazon. Kinda pisses me off so, haven't ordered anything.
