ported FTW!! you can make a ported box sound just as good if not better than a sealed box and you get so much louder.

I usually like my subbass without peaks, but that's just me...

i had the alpine 9881 with 2v preouts and i jsut got the 9885 yesterday with 4v preouts i can hear a differance

Then you either had an inducted noise issue or something was wrong with the install...
